Website access and hosting
This website is provided through ChatGPT Sites. When it is accessed, technical connection, usage, log and device information is generated, including the IP address, time, content accessed, browser and device data, and technical error data. It is processed for hosting, maintenance, support, security and abuse detection. BUILT BY BÜRGY does not use its own audience analytics or any marketing or advertising trackers.
Where OpenAI processes personal data collected from the published Site as “Hosted Data” for hosting, maintenance and support, OpenAI acts as a processor on behalf of BUILT BY BÜRGY under the ChatGPT Sites Data Processing Addendum. For individuals in Switzerland, this addendum is entered into with OpenAI Ireland Ltd. Where OpenAI processes data outside that mandate for its own purposes as described in its privacy information, that processing is separate and is governed by the applicable OpenAI terms.
Hosted Data may also be processed outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area. Under the ChatGPT Sites addendum, OpenAI relies on adequacy decisions or agreements incorporating standard contractual clauses for such transfers. The subprocessors and processing locations actually used may change. Contact by email or phone
When you contact me by email or phone, the information you provide is processed where necessary to answer your enquiry, clarify the project and prepare for a possible business relationship. The business mailbox info@builtbybuergy.ch is hosted by Infomaniak. Incoming messages are received there and, because forwarding is configured, are also sent to a Gmail inbox belonging to the owner. The content and technical metadata of a message are therefore processed in both services.
Infomaniak is a Swiss provider. Its published privacy information provides for processing in Switzerland and, depending on the subprocessor used, transfers to countries recognised as providing an adequate level of protection, to US companies certified under the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or on the basis of standard contractual clauses adapted to Swiss law. Gmail is used through a personal Google account; no separate business data processing agreement is documented for this use. Under its published terms, Google may process data worldwide and, depending on the circumstances, identifies adequacy mechanisms, the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses as transfer mechanisms. No specific Google contracting entity or exclusive processing location is guaranteed here. No web form is active on this website. The “Write an email” button opens the visitor’s email application. The website itself does not collect or send any form data. A technically prepared form solution remains disabled and will only be enabled following separate privacy and functionality approval.
Cookies, analytics and external content
BUILT BY BÜRGY does not use its own analytics or marketing cookies, advertising networks, externally loaded web fonts or embedded social media plugins. The hosting provider may use technically necessary storage or security functions. Links to the Apple App Store and GoSafeHome are only accessed when clicked; the privacy terms of the relevant destination then apply.
Retention and data security
Contact details and messages are generally retained in the Infomaniak mailbox and the forwarded Gmail inbox for as long as appears necessary to handle the enquiry, a possible business relationship, legal obligations or the protection of legitimate claims. There is currently no single fixed deletion period for every type of contact. Messages that are no longer needed are deleted as part of ongoing mailbox maintenance. Providers may retain deleted data, technical logs or backups for a limited period under their own rules; these periods are not fully controlled by BUILT BY BÜRGY. For Hosted Data, the ChatGPT Sites addendum describes processing during the term of the agreement and afterwards for as long as needed to fulfil the obligations, including deletion. Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards are used.
Rights of data subjects
Under applicable Swiss data protection law, data subjects may in particular request information about processed personal data and, subject to the relevant conditions, correction, disclosure or deletion. Requests can be sent to the email address above.
